As for "falsehood", Yehovaw calls Satan "the Great Dragon", "that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world"! (Revelation 12:9)

Yehovaw said, through Yehoshua, to certain Jews:

Ye are of your father, the Devil! And the lusts of your Father ye will do! He was a murderer, from the beginning, and abode not in the truth; because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own! For he is a liar and the father of it. (John 8:44)

So any one who enters into speaking falsehood is serving Satan, Yehovaw's angelic enemy in the spirit realm, whether he or she realizes it or not!

It is possible to say something that is not true while believing that it is true; and, regardless of that's being the case, untold damage can be and has been done to others, for the inadvertent or deliberate misrepresentation that they suffer concerning their Creator, themselves and the world in which they must live!

If one has been so corrupted as to lie deliberately, the same damage is suffered by the victim of the lie; but the liar has put himself or herself in line for serious judgment! Yehovaw commanded, through Moses, "the children of Israel" (Deuteronomy 29:1):

Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor! (Exodus 20:15)

Yehovaw wrote, through Yehoshua, through His faithful apostle John:

All liars shall have their part in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the Second Death! (Revelation 21:8)

Truth relates to what has happened or what does happen as a consistent attribute of life, not what people believe has happened or does happen and assuredly not what people want others to believe, if they are liars!

Part of what has happened is what Yehovaw has said, which is behind all else that has happened or ever will happen, except where His children have used their "dominion" (Genesis 1:28), to be the ones saying what will happen; and the only reliable source for Yehovaw's truth is "the voice of the Lord thy God" (Deuteronomy 28:1), as it is heard in the hearts of His children, which the world calls one's "conscience", the only other true source being His Holy Bible! Yehoshua prayed, to Yehovaw the Father:

Sanctify them through thy truth! Thy word is truth. (John 17:17)

Still, one is well advised, by Yehovaw, through His apostle Paul:

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth! (2nd Timothy 2:15)

The reason for that caution is, simply, that parts of Yehovaw's Holy Bible have been corrupted by falsehood! And the only way of discerning the truth that is in the abundant remainder of it is, first of all, to qualify for the supernatural assistance of His "Spirit of truth"! (John 14:17) He said, through Yehoshua:

¹⁶My doctrine is not Mine but His who sent Me. ¹⁷If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God or whether I speak of Myself! (John 7:16 and 17)

¹⁵If ye love Me, keep My commandments! ¹⁶And I will pray the Father! And He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you for ever, ¹⁷even the Spirit of truth! (John 14:15 to 17)

Doing the will of Yehovaw the Father is that His children keep or put the highest possible value on the commandments of His toraw or law! And one who is doing that will "know of the doctrine" (John 7:17), by the supernatural power of ha Kodesh Ruakh, Yehovaw's "Spirit of truth"! (John 14:17)

But one who is not keeping the commandments of Yehovaw's toraw or law will invariably get caught up in falsehood! For he or she is wide open to Satan's lies, without the corrective admonition of ha Kodesh Ruakh, to keep one "in the know" about spiritual matters and about everything else that pertains to one's welfare in this life and in the life beyond the death of one's body!

The world is full of Satan's lies about everything under the sun! And woe is the plight of anyone not knowing and living by Yehovaw's truth!
