As for "the Nations", as used in Yehovaw's Old Testament, the word "nation" is a King James translation of a word meaning "a foreign nation; hence a Gentile; also (figuratively) a troop of animals or a flight of locusts", which word was also translated: "Gentile, heathen, people"! (Strong: Hebrew: 1471)

In Yehovaw's New Testament, the word "nation" is a King James translation of a word meaning "a race (as of the same habit), that is, a tribe; specifically a foreign (non-Jewish) one (usually by implication pagan), which word was also translated "Gentile, heathen, people"! (Strong: Greek: 1484)

So within Yehovaw's Holy Bible, whether Old Testament or New, the word "nation" refers to people other than the children of Israel! And, since the children of Israel are those who "keep the commandments of the Lord thy God and walk in His ways" (Deuteronomy 28:9; 29:1), one would not expect "the nations" to do that.

Likewise, since those who "wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all His commandments" (Deuteronomy 28:15) can expect "that all these curses shall come upon thee and overtake thee" (Verse 15), one can also expect Yehovaw's cursing upon the nations! And one sees that tragic abortion of His heart's desire for His children all the time on the news channels, in the heart-breaking afflictions continually plaguing one person or nation after another!

But Yehovaw has not intended that the nations remain so afflicted; He said, to Abraham:

In thy seed shall all the nations of the Earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed My voice! (Genesis 22:18)

Yehovaw's blessing is a consideration that is highly involved with His plan for saving, fulfilling and glorifying all His children on Earth! Yeshuaw said:

It is not the will of your Father Who is in Heaven that one of these little ones should perish! (Matthew 18:14)

To understand Yehovaw's plan for saving, fulfilling and glorifying all His children on Earth, One must go back, in Yehovaw's Holy Scripture, to His account of dealing with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden!
