As for "Yehovaw's Role as Priest", within the context of Yehovaw's covenant and toraw or law, the priest of Israel officiated over the sacrifices required by Yehovaw's commandments, all of which relate to His atonement, a ritual He required, before He would forgive His people, the children of Israel! He said, through Moses:

²⁷If any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering; ²⁸and the priest shall make an atonement for the soul who sinneth ignorantly ... and it shall be forgiven him. (Numbers 15:27 and 28)

Yehovaw still requires His atonement, before He will forgive His children; He wrote, through His author:

Almost all things are by the law purged with blood! And without shedding of blood is no remission! (Hebrews 9:22)

From the time of Yehovaw's sending Yeshuaw to Earth to make the atonement of Yehovaw's toraw or law (Leviticus 17:11) with His own body and blood (Matthew 26:26 to 28) on the cross (Luke 23:34), it has been on the authority of Yeshuaw's shed blood, the atonement of which is based upon the authority of that toraw (Leviticus 17:11; Romans 5:11), that Yehovaw's church, the children of Israel (Matthew 15:24), have continued to offer His atonement and forgiveness to all who will receive it.

But the surest way by which to make that offer, has been for Yehovaw's children to make sacrificial lambs of themselves, in loving their enemies (Matthew 5:44; 6:14; 28:19 and 20), even as Yeshuaw did, while hanging on His cross! And in so doing they have become Yehovaw's priests themselves! He prayed:

Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do! (Luke 23:34)

To the person not well grounded in Yehovaw's holy scriptures, His covenant, toraw or law, animal sacrifices, atonement, forgiveness and people are all strange considerations and practices, until they are carefully considered in the light of His Holy Bible! He wrote, through His psalmist:

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path! (Psalm 119:105)

The purpose of this fellowship is to provide scriptural grounding for the understanding of such matters: for in them is the light by which Yehovaw's children are delivered or saved from all that is threatening them; they are blessed for evermore by His seven supernatural rewards to the worthy - "power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory and blessing"! (Revelatioon 5:12) And the function of Yehovaw's priest is central to how all of that is achieved!

So, to develop an understanding of that awesome provision, one must begin at the beginning, when Yehovaw was dealing with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden!
