Do you know about Yehovaw's tithe or His blessed system of supporting His priests, widows, the fatherless and strangers in Israel?

Welcome to the page on which Pastor Floyd talks about

Yehovaw's tithe!

The full title of this page, "32414200 - Yehovaw's Tithe", includes its catalog number, which shows where I have placed it among the many fascinating topics I have arranged in the Table of Contents of this website's amazing Vault!

As for "Yehovaw's Tithe", most of Yehovaw's children on Earth know that it takes money or the things that money represents to fund the activities of any organization! And the organization or tribe of Yehovaw's priesthood among the children of Israel was no exception! So He said, through Moses:

30All the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's! It is holy unto the Lord; 31and, if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof! (Leviticus 27:30 and 31)

32Concerning the tithe of the herd or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be Holy unto the Lord! 33He shall not search whether it be good or bad; neither shall he change it; and, if he change it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed! (Leviticus 27:32 and 33)

That is Yehovaw's commandment of the tithe! The matter of "redeeming" a tithe is, simply, converting a tithe of produce or livestock into an equal value in money, in which case twenty percent is to be added above the market price, to assure that the redemption shall in no way short Yehovaw's vital purpose for the tithe.

But the question arises, if the tithe belongs to Yehovaw, what is to be done with it? His toraw or law provides the answer:

1It shall be, when thou art come in unto the land that the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance and possessest it and dwellest therein, 2that thou shalt take of the first of all the fruit of the Earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the Lord thy God giveth thee and shalt put it in a basket and shalt go unto the place that the Lord thy God shall choose to place His name there; 3and thou shalt go unto the Priest who shall be in those days and say, unto him, I profess this day, unto the Lord thy God, that I am come unto the country that the Lord sware unto our Fathers for to give us; 4and the priest shall take the basket out of thine hand and set it down, before the altar of the Lord thy God! (Deuteronomy 26:1 to 4)

5And thou shalt speak and say, before the Lord thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father; and he went down, into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few and became there a nation, great, mighty and populous! 6And the Egyptians evil entreated us and afflicted us and laid, upon us, hard bondage! 7And, when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice and looked on our affliction, our labor and our oppression! (Deuteronomy 26:5 to 7)

8And the Lord brought us forth, out of Egypt, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, with great terribleness, with signs and with wonders! 9And He hath brought us into this place and hath given us this land, even a land that floweth with milk and honey! 10And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which Thou, O Lord, hast given me. (Deuteronomy 26:8 to 10)

10And thou shalt set it before the Lord thy God and worship before the Lord thy God; 11and thou shalt rejoice in every good thing that the Lord thy God hath given unto thee and unto thine house, thou, the Levite and the stranger who is among you. (Deuteronomy 26:10 and 11)

12When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the Year of Tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates and be filled, 13then thou shalt say, before the Lord thy God (Deuteronomy 26:12 and 13),

13I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house and also have given them unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless and the widow, according to all thy commandments that Thou hast commanded me; I have not transgressed Thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them. 14I have not eaten thereof, in my mourning; neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use nor given ought thereof for the dead! But I have hearkened to the voice of the Lord my God and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me. (Deuteronomy 26:13 and 14)

Look down from Thy holy habitation, from Heaven, and bless Thy people Israel and the land that Thou hast given us, as thou swarest unto our fathers, a land that floweth with milk and honey! (Deuteronomy 26:15)

Can you see what Yehovaw is getting at, in that ritual?

Can you see that He wants His provision for the disadvantaged to be entered into in the Spirit of thanksgiving, worship and rejoicing, for all that He has done for the giver of the tithe?

Consider Yehovaw's list of the disadvantaged whom He has commanded be given of His tithe:

First of all, there is the Levite, who under Yehovaw's toraw or law must serve his ministry of teaching the toraw to the people, his maintaining of the temple and his presiding over its sacrifices! And he must do all of that with no productive land of his own by which to raise his own food or make his own living! As this internet ministry is dependent upon you, the my beloved visitor, the Levite is completely dependent upon Yehovaw's tithe for his support! And that is only twenty-five percent of that which is allocated to the four kinds of disadvantaged people whom Yehovaw >mentions in His commandment concerning the giving of the tithe!

Should you decide to participate in the giving of Yehovaw's tithe and perform the above ritual of the tithe, you will be able, on Yehovaw's invitation, to say:

Look down from Thy holy habitation, from Heaven, and bless Thy people Israel and the land that Thou hast given us. (Deuteronomy 26:15)

Should you decide to participate in the giving of Yehovaw's tithe into this ministry, it is only one fourth of that tithe that should go to this ministry of teaching and the handling of your sacrifice of tithe, while the other three fourths must go to "the stranger, the fatherless and the widow"! (Deuteronomy 26:13)

If you know of ministries dedicated to serving the needs of the stranger, the fatherless and the widow, you are certainly welcome to tithe directly to them, indicating to us that all of the tithe you are sending is intended for the teaching activity of this website! But, if you would like this ministry to direct three fourths of your tithe to such ministries, it would be our pleasure to do that for you.

In a sense, that would be our handling of your sacrifice, since there presently is no temple in which the children of Israel may bring the kind of sacrifices commanded for it in Yehovaw's toraw or law!

There is usually one more scripture that I quote, when dealing with the subject of Yehovaw's tithe:

7Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from Mine ordinances and have not kept them. Return, unto Me; and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts! But ye said, wherein shall we return? 8Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed Me. But ye say, wherein have we robbed Thee? In tithes and offerings! (Malachi 3:7 and 8)

9Ye are cursed with a curse! For ye have robbed Me, even this whole nation! 10Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it. (Malachi 3:9 and 10)

11I will rebuke the Devourer for your sakes; and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground! Neither shall your vine cast its fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts; 12and all nations shall call you blessed! For ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts! (Malachi 3:11 and 12)

Is that not enough to encourage any believer of Yehovaw's word to keep or put the highest possible value on the giving of his or her tithe?

One's understanding of the value of keeping any commandment of Yehovaw's toraw or law, is best obtained by going back in Yehovaw's Holy Bible to his account of dealing with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden!

Amen! Alleluia!
