As for "Yehovaw's Law", it helps when one understands that "law" is the interaction among persons where one is made to obey the word of an other, for good or evil!

The making of that obedience can be by encouragement, intimidation or force and usually entails rewards or punishments in accord with what has been spoken or written in relation to the conduct of the other!

By that process, which is that of a government, legislators impose their wills on citizens; parents impose their wills on children; and officers impose their wills on people! And in the absence of democracy, where people impose their wills on legislators, kings or tyrants impose their wills on legislators!

A civilization, society or social organization of one kind or another, for commerce or domestic living cannot exist without law; and it all stems from Yehovaw's toraw, which is the supreme law of the universe! Yehovaw said, through Moses:

The Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that He might preserve us alive, as it is at this day! (Deuteronomy 6:24)

In that vital statement, Yehovaw makes it clear that fearing Him to the point of doing His "Statutes" (Deuteronomy 6:24) is a matter of our good and of remaining alive! In other words, it is a matter of life and death, which Yehovaw said, even more directly, through Moses:

I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing! Therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live! (Deuteronomy 30:19)
