As for "Robbing God ... Is Tithing a Myth", recently I was requested, by a visitor to the website, to comment upon a book by R. Johnston, entitled "The Lie of the Tithe", as promoted on http://www.gotosimpletruth.com, a website that seems to be no longer active.
For the benefit of other visitors to our site, I have put, into this ebook, my full response to that request, praying that it will have its greatly needed effect to offset with Yehovaw's truth the damnedable lie that R. Johnston's book tells about Yehovaw's tithe, not by my having read his book - God forbid! - but from what he himself said about his own book, on his website, which is all I needed by which to make a considerable dent in Mr. Johnston's "unlearned and unstable" (2nd Peter 3:16) presumptions!
If you are the careful and concerned person that I am regarding what people do to Yehovaw's holy scriptures, you will appreciate the effort I have made in this ebook to deal with what Mr. Johnston has done to represent or, rather, misrepresent what Yehovaw has commanded the children of Israel concerning His tithe!
I do not go out of my way, looking for people who under Satan "wrest" the scriptures "to their own destruction"! (2nd Peter 3:16) But, when a visitor to this website, each of whom I cherish, indicates that he or she is concerned about something that he or she has run across and is seeking some handle by which to assess effectively its merit, I am at the service of that visitor, to give him or her my fullest attention on the matter!
Having given due diligence to such questions, I usually find that, like the oyster with the irritating grain of sand within its shell, my effort to apply Yehovaw's truth to the matter has produced a beautiful pearl of truth - indeed, the genuine jewel - for all to enjoy, all of which efforts put together relate favorably to what Yehovaw called through Yeshuaw "the pearl of great price"! (Matthew 13:45 and 46)
The entire ebook is 95 pages in length! And I am offering it to you free, despite Yehovaw's assurance that "the laborer is worthy of his hire"! (Luke 10:7)
I truly enjoy giving away Yehovaw's word of life; because it is priceless! It "is like unto treasure hid in a field" (Matthew 13:44) or the "pearl of great price" (Verse 46), for which one "went and sold all that he had and bought it". (Verse 46) Yehovaw said, through Yeshuaw, to His disciples:
Go ... to the lost sheep of the house of Israel! And, as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of Heaven is at hand! Heal the sick! Cleanse the lepers! Raise the dead! And cast out devils! Freely ye have received, freely give! (Matthew 10:6 to 8)
Pastors, staffs, their families and websites cost money to remain alive! So, as did the Levitical priests, we are supported by the system of tithing that Yehovaw commanded for the children of Israel! And one's participation in the tithe of Yehovaw's toraw or law even today is an highly blessed endeavor! Yehovaw wrote, through His prophet:
10Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and prove Me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11And I will rebuke the Devourer for your sakes; and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts! 12And all nations shall call you blessed! For ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts! (Malachi 3:10 to 12)
Yehovaw said, through Yeshuaw:
Give! And it shall be given unto you! Good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over shall men give into your bosom! For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again! (Luke 6:38)
