As for "Yehovaw's Chastening" of His children, it is born of His love for them.

Yehovaw wrote, through Yeshuaw, through his faithful apostle John:

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten! Be zealous therefore, and repent! (Revelation 3:19)

Yehovaw's chastening is for those people among His children on Earth who are willing to "be zealous ... and repent" (Revelation 3:19); it is a punishment for wrongdoing that administers pain or difficulty but does not destroy! He wrote, through His apostle:

Be sober! Be vigilant; because your adversary, the Devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour, whom resist, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren who are in the world! (1st Peter 5:8 and 9)

In that passage Yehovaw anticipates that "afflictions" will plague even His faithful children for those times when they do not behave well, their not intending to offend Him but still missing His will for them, in which case He chastens them; but "the same afflictions" (1st Peter 5:9) are not "accomplished" in them, for the limit He imposes upon Satan to afflict them, when their intentions are good!

Even the world understands the problems that arise when parents are indulgent with their children; Yehovaw wrote, through Solomon:

He who spareth his rod hateth his son! But he who loveth him chasteneth him betimes. (Proverbs 13:24)

If discipline is understood in the world, particularly among military forces, where obedience is critical to winning a battle against the enemy, it is infinitely better understood by Yehovaw, who knows that the issues relating to His children's good behavior are matters of life and death! He said, through Moses, in His toraw or law, to the children of Israel:

I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing! Therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live! (Deuteronomy 30:19)

When Yehovaw sent Yeshuaw, to Earth, to "the lost sheep of the house of Israel" (Matthew 15:24), he said, through Yeshuaw:

If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments! (Matthew 19:17)

Yehovaw was there speaking, through Yeshuaw, of one's "eternal life"! (Matthew 19:16)

Sinning is one's failure to "keep the commandments"! (Matthew 19:17) Yehovaw wrote, through His faithful apostle:

Sin is the transgression of the law! (1st John 3:4)

Such transgression immediately removes the sinner from Yehovaw's kingdom of life, even as Adam and Eve were removed from the Garden of Eden when they sinned (Genesis 3:23); and the spiritually outcast child is then left subject to Yehovaw's chastening of those in the world, until he or she becomes "zealous" (Revelation 3:19) and repents!
