As for "The Unforgiving Rosanna", "all is not gold that glitters!" we hear said, now and then; and Rosanna is one of those women who seemed not to glitter! And neither was Frederick looking for a woman who did glitter, when he met her.

But, with all her unrefined and natural covering, Rosanna was gold indeed, in her faithfully serving her family, particularly her three sons, as best she could while surviving the best and the worst of Fred, her bewildering and unpredictable husband over all her adult years!

When Rosanna met Fred, he was in rebellion against the Lord God about whom his father had taught him, particularly the person of Jesus, who in Fred's pitifully limited understanding had come to save the world and gone back up to Heaven and left the world, who was unreachable and with whom no one could talk! People in his family had prayed to Jesus, before Fred left home; but he wasn't into one-way conversations! So that whole business had left him cold!

At the same time, while Jesus was on Earth, He was supposed to have said some wise things! And Fred was in favor of wisdom! So that is why he left home! He was looking for "the truth"!

Fred was in the Air Force, seeing what life was all about from that perspective; but that only took up eight of the twenty-four hours in each day! And that left the other sixteen with a big hole in them; and like most men he was under the impression that such holes are well filled by the presence of a woman!

Fred had seen his father and mother hang together, year after year; and that also gave him the impression that one woman was sufficient! But after losing two fiances for ridiculous reasons he became discouraged with finding that one woman who would stay with him and was resigned to accepting any who would!

Both of Fred's parents were university graduates! But that seemed not to impress him! For he had developed a real dislike for formal education, including his experiment as a freshman in college! So he didn't give a flip about whether or not a woman had a diploma! He simply wanted a woman! And Rosanna met that criterion perfectly!

Rosanna was an Italian working girl with a "coke bottle figure", who had faithfully supported her mother and who then faithfully supported the sons Fred gave her; but she had a hard time supporting Fred, first of all because he was supposed to be supporting her and never did that very well!

Secondly, Rosanna was bewildered by Fred; because she never could figure him out!

But the straw that broke Rosanna's back was the fact that Fred got very nasty with her whenever he got upset with her, which wasn't all the time; but it sure was a pill, when it was going on!

Fred was always off on "Cloud Nine", in Rosanna's estimation; for years he pursued every offbeat religion or occult organization around! Finally he accepted Yehovaw's Holy Bible as his rule of conduct, which was okay, so far as Rosanna was concerned - she knew her Catholic Church was based on it - but not as something to get completely wrapped up in, the way Fred seemed determined to do!

So Rosanna simply plugged along, faithfully doing her thing, doing what she felt was right! And, interestingly, somehow, she had a pretty good idea of what was right. She worked as an electronics assembler, raised her three sons with a good sense of decency and fairness, played Bingo, went to Vegas occasionally, watched TV, especially Perry Mason and the game shows, read her tabloids and survived Fred, until circumstances relating to him simply overwhelmed her; and she simply shut down as his wife!

In her advanced years with afflictions in her body and an heart devoid of spiritual hope, Rosanna could no longer cope with Fred; and he had to look elsewhere for the comfort of a wife; and that was about it!

Fred came to love Rosanna at least for her consistency, as did her three sons! But there was something missing - something he and they could not figure out for years, until Yehovaw finally revealed it to Fred, when Yehovaw had allowed Satan to reward Fred well for the last bit of rebellion that had remained in Fred thirty years before, to where he could see the field with adequate clarity!

Fred came to the conclusion that Rosanna didn't love him the way Yehovaw wants his children to love one another - even as enemies, if nothing better! And, worse still, so far as he could tell, neither did she love Yehovaw as anything more than a rosy glow off in the distance, whose kingdom she supposed she would enter someday ... maybe; because she couldn't care less about discussing what gets some one there or keeps him or her out of it.

Rosanna "did right", seemingly; she loved her sons! She might have loved Fred, if it were not for his constantly wanting to talk about religion! She treated people with respect, so long as they did likewise to her! But any one who crossed her once she immediately crossed off her list of people to take seriously! And Fred had entered that status in her book so many times she'd lost count!

But, as for thinking about the Lord God who created her, who was keeping her heart beating and her retirement money in the bank each month, forget it; Rosanna had her game shows to watch.

Fred came to view that mindset and lifestyle as an outright tragedy! Furthermore, he didn't know what to do about it, except to pray for his precious wife, who had seen their golden wedding anniversary with him; but she gave no indication that he would be seeing her in Yehovaw's "Resurrection of Life"!(John 5:29)

This story has no glorious ending, with respect to Rosanna, while with respect to Frederick, it was wall-to-wall glory, each day of his life, once He had come home to Yehovaw and His truth! And the contrast between those two married antagonists is what gives to this story its power to instruct!

I sincerely hope that the story will entertain you. That is the color, fragrance and beauty of the flower, which is there to give pollen to the bee, for the bee's honey, for the nourishment of Yehovaw's children! It is characteristic of Yehovaw's creations to be aesthetically satisfying while serving critical functions of life! He wrote, through His Apostle John:

The four and twenty elders fall down, before Him who sat on the throne, and worship Him, Who liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory, honor and power! For Thou hast created all things! And for thy pleasure they are and were created! (Revelation 4:10 and 11)

The story of Fredrick and Rosanna is left with Rosanna's spiritual impasse before Fred; whatever had gone into Rosanna's making had gone away and left her incomplete! And nothing Fred knew could change that commitment to destruction but the power of prayer, if - and that is a big "if" - Rosanna would ever be willing to receive the truth that prayer tries to reveal to a neighbor!

The purpose of my writing the story, with a lot of detail involved, is to expose the visitor to the elements of human interaction, which I believe reveal Yehovaw's truth as nothing else quite does, when the story teller keeps Yehovaw's word in his heart as a running commentary on what is going on!

Keeping Yehovaw's word ever before one sheds His light on the affairs of His children; and every single one of us is lost without that light; Yehovaw wrote, through His faithful apostle:

The light shineth in darkness! And the darkness comprehended it not! (John 1:5)

That was the true light, which lighteth every man who cometh into the world! (John 1:9)

He was in the world! And the world was made by Him; and the world knew Him not! (John 1:10)

He came unto His own! And His own received Him not! (John 1:10)

One characteristic of this style of writing - that which keeps Yehovaw ever in one's heart- is that the reader is kept seeing the interaction from the perspective of Yehovaw, the holy, almighty, eternal and self-existent Creator and Lord God over all the universe!

What good may be going on is of Yehovaw, through the cooperation of His faithful servants! And that is glorious!

But what evil may be going on is something that will never overwhelm the Godhead nor Yehovaw's children, who are under His "shield and exceedingly great reward"! (Genesis 15:1) Although evil may take a part of Yehovaw's spirit to Hell, with the rebellious child whose existence and consciousness is dependent upon Yehovaw's spirit being in him or her!

So the story written in this fashion can never be a complete tragedy; yet the evil in it does jeopardize even the Lord God Himself to some degree!

So the two basic elements of ongoing glory compromised to some degree by the ongoing struggle to overcome the evil are ever in juxtaposition, which ominously threatens to rob Yehovaw and His children of the pleasure that He so very much wants for them and Himself!

As with any writer of fiction, I must work from out of the reality of my own experiences or that which I have observed in the lives of others! So for a legal defense against those who may be offended by seeing likenesses between the characters in my stories and themselves, I must and do declare:

This is a work of fiction for the purpose of conveying a spiritual truth as I may happen to perceive it; so all similarities between this work and persons or events in the real world are purely coincidental!

The entire ebook is 133 pages in length! And I am offering it, to you, free, despite Yehovaw's assurance that "the laborer is worthy of his hire"! (Luke 10:7)

I truly enjoy giving away Yehovaw's word of life; because it is priceless! It "is like unto treasure hid in a field" (Matthew 13:44) or the "pearl of great price" (Verse 46), for which one "went and sold all that he had and bought it". (Verse 46) Yehovaw said, through Yeshuaw, to His disciples:

Go ... to the lost sheep of the house of Israel! And, as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of Heaven is at hand! Heal the sick! Cleanse the lepers! Raise the dead! And cast out devils! Freely ye have received, freely give! (Matthew 10:6 to 8)

Pastors, staffs, their families and websites cost money to remain alive! So, as did the Levitical priests, we are supported by the system of tithing that Yehovaw commanded for the children of Israel! And one's participation in the tithe of Yehovaw's toraw or law even today is an highly blessed endeavor! Yehovaw wrote, through His prophet:

¹⁰Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and prove Me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of Heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. ¹¹And I will rebuke the Devourer for your sakes; and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts! ¹²And all nations shall call you blessed! For ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts! (Malachi 3:10 to 12)

Yehovaw said, through Yeshuaw:

Give! And it shall be given unto you! Good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over shall men give into your bosom! For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again! (Luke 6:38)

So, where Yehovaw's tithe can be honored, for the priceless knowledge that this "storehouse" (Malachi 3:10) has labored to offer on this website, we would be grateful indeed and would pray Yehovaw's richest blessing upon the tither for his or her support of this ministry!
